Responsibilities

As an analyst Tim works with the NEP investment staff and the firm’s portfolio company management teams on buyout, recapitalization, and growth financing transactions across a variety of industries. He also spends a substantial amount of time assessing potential investment opportunities, performing company valuations and due diligence, and supporting the day-to-day activities in the transaction process.

Experience

Tim joined NEP in 2011 after working as a financial analyst on the private lending team at Sankaty Advisors (the credit affiliate of Bain Capital). In addition to monitoring and overseeing loans for several portfolio companies, he conducted due diligence on several new transaction opportunities across a variety of industries, sponsor groups and securities. Tim also worked directly with management teams on optimizing day-to-day operations, pursuing potential M&A opportunities, and interfacing with senior lenders . Prior to his time at Bain, Tim also gained experience through finance and investment banking intern roles at Goldman Sachs, Morningstar U.K., and Ecolab.
